As you all know since last year, we have started the NavaDurga Award to felicitate upcoming talented female artists in the field of Hindustani Classical Music. The award this year will be given to a young female artist (aged between 18 to 35 years old) in the field of Hindustani Classical Music. The artist can be either a vocal or musical instrument exponent in the above mentioned classical music field.
We invite applications from female artists in the above mentioned age group who would like to nominate themselves for the above mentioned award. The application should be made through an email to [email protected]
com with the following details:
– Subject of the email should be ‘Application for NavaDurga Award’
– Full name of the nominee
– Date of birth of the nominee
– Full details of the achievements of the nominee in the field of Hindustani Classical Music including past awards received, notable performances, music education, etc.
– Weblinks of 3 video recordings of the nominee either singing or playing the instrument in the field of Hindustani Classical Music of at least 15 minutes each. Kindly note that the nominee need not make new recordings and past recordings of her performances(maximum 3 month old recordings)can also be shared. Also, the 3rd recording can be in semi-classical or light music form. However it should be without any supporting electronic track .
The last date for sending the nominations is 25th Feb 2020.
